Hresnic: "Peace for Tomorrow"

Hresnics, as Ukrainian Family Helpers, play a vital role in ASB Georgia's  Cash Transfer Program. They consistently collaborate with beneficiaries, offering social assistance by providing information, advice, and support. Through their efforts, Hresnics make a substantial impact, significantly enhancing the daily lives of vulnerable Ukrainians living in Georgia.

Tatyana Lechenko, an experienced Hresnic, who has been actively assisting 70 Ukrainian families in Georgia for over a year. She fled from the war in Ukraine to Georgia about one month after the conflict began in March 2022. At 37 years old, Tatyana discovered a new purpose in life when she connected with ASB Georgia and its partner organization, Unite Together (UT). Grateful for the opportunity, she now works as a dedicated helper for Ukrainian families.

"I've experienced displacement twice. First, in 2013, after the occupation of Donetsk, I relocated to Irpen. Second, in 2022, I arrived in Georgia. I worked in various roles, including as an accountant, florist, and make-up artist. My active and sociable nature led me to a new role as a Hresnic, a Ukrainian Family Helper. This opportunity allowed me to learn a profession I had never experienced before. I'm truly grateful for this chance, as it lets me live peacefully without worrying about tomorrow. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to ASB Georgia and UT for their unwavering support throughout this journey”.
