On the 9th of April, the Armenian Emergency Medical Team (EMT) 120 hours induction training course has been started in Armenia. The training course is implemented under the DG – ECHO funded project – Stronger Together – Cooperative Action to Respond to Cross-Border Emergencies.

EMT members will be trained according to international standards. The intensive training course will last for 15 days. Armenian EMT will be delved into the mechanisms of humanitarian aid, civil defense, and the operational mechanisms of the emergency medical teams.

“One thing is when you are dealing with the theoretical information based on the SOPs as inseparable part and parcel of our activities, and it is totally another thing when you are practicing, so the synergy is the best environment, especially for the simulation exercises when with your colleagues, does not matter in our country, or in a neighboring one”  - marked Mr. Armen Melkonyan, Head of International Relations Department of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia and the ARM EMT Lead.
