Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) is one of the biggest and oldest German aid and welfare organization with more than one million members. Since its foundation in 1888, ASB has acted as a politically and denominationally independent association. With its first international mission in 1921, the area of foreign aid became an integral part of the organization. Currently, ASB has 11 foreign offices and implementing programs in more than 20 countries. Since 2021 ASB has a project office in Yerevan, Armenia for implementation of “Stronger together- Cooperative Action to Respond to Cross Border Emergencies Georgia and Armenia” project and since July, 2022 ASB is registered as NGO (Reg No 211.060.1254835) with Ministry of Justice in Armenia.

 

As part of German Federal Foreign Office funded project “Cash transfers and psychosocial support to most vulnerable people who fled Nagorno-Karabakh into Armenia” ASB is announcing call for applications and extending invitations to organizations operating in Armenia to implement psychosocial support (PSS) interventions.

The interventions should be based on the idea of strengthening individuals through empowering their self-confidence and self-esteem. Specifically, the activities will help individuals of all age groups from Nagorno Karabakh in managing stress, fostering their psychological and social recovery, and facilitation their adaptation to the new environment.

 

Geographic Area: Based on the need and refugee settlement․

 

Priority Groups: Priority will be given to the applications that specifically target older persons, persons with disability, women and children.

 

Duration: The duration of the project spans a maximum of 6 months (from March to August 2024), encompassing activities and reporting period.

 

Budget: the maximum budget for implementing the project is EURO 20 000.

 

If your organization is registered in Armenia, possesses a demonstrated history of delivering PSS to the most vulnerable populations, we invite you to apply by completing the attached form Application Form.docx. Please, send the form to hr@asb.ge with the subject line “Project Idea _ PSS”, not later than February 29, 2024. Only electronic applications will be accepted and only short-listed applicants will be contacted.
