Partnership for Inclusive Policy Making Project Presentation in Telavi

Newly launched EU funded project “Partnership for inclusive policy making” of Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Georgia (ASB) is implemented together with partner organizations: Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF) and Charity Humanitarian Center Abkhazeti (CHCA).

The project aims to increase civic participation in local social policy making, implementation and monitoring.

On May 3, 2018 the project presentation held in Kakheti, Telavi. Local NGOs as well as authorities from Kakheti region were presented to the event.  Attendants had an opportunity to get detailed information about the project from coordinators and representative of EU delegation. Presentation included discussion and questions and answers format session.

“The project is focused on supporting the civic involvement and participation in regions.  We have planned an array  of events and activities to reach our goal. We strive to support people living in villages and Georgian cities to become more active and to get involved in decision making processes. They should present their priorities to the local government, in result we want local policies to be inclusive which on its own will lead to the better outcomes.” – Says project coordinator, Zviad Modebadze.

In frames of the project, implementing organizations will run several events and activities including: capacity building of Caucasus Caregivers Cooperation network (CCC Network), needs assessment and analysis[u1] , workshops on advocacy and civic participation, country-wide and local media campaigns on civic participation, training course on social entrepreneurship, supporting Civic Society Organizations (CSOs) financially, training for local government.
