The representatives of ASB Georgia, and partner organization SSK, participated in the European and Central Asia Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction held in Budva, Montenegro. During the event, the progress on the regional EFDRR Roadmap for Disaster Risk Reduction 2021-2030 was evaluated, and the capacity among authorities and stakeholders to accelerate the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 was built.

ASB representatives, together with the partner organizations, Christian Blind Mission International (CBMI) and European Disability Forum (EDF) took part in the marketplace exhibition promoting the joint work and achievements.

The Regional Platform has become a unique mechanism for addressing regional disaster risk challenges, bringing together the governments of 55 Member States, civil society, and private sector stakeholders. It facilitated knowledge-sharing and the establishment of concrete commitments to disaster risk reduction.

The 2024 platform was hosted by the Government of Montenegro in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction and supported by UNDP, the European Commission, and the Council of Europe.
