ASB Georgia, in collaboration with partner organizations UT, SSK and ILCA, implements the Sports, Education, Gender and Information (SEGI) project. The primary goal of the project is to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals from Ukraine residing in Georgia.
Under the SEGI project, a wide range of educational, sports, and other activities will be organized, specifically designed for children, women, and older persons from Ukraine. These activities will not only support their psychological and social recovery but also ensure their successful integration into Georgian society. The second direction of the project is to raise awareness and improve access / establishing referral mechanisms for the survivors of gender-based and domestic violence. For this reason, a GBV/DV center “Nest Of Hope” for beneficiaries from Ukraine will be established in Batumi.
Individuals belonging to the following vulnerability categories will be eligible to participate in project activities:
• Persons (women, men and children) living with disability, severely ill or having chronic diseases.
• Older persons (60+)
• HHs with three or more children.
• Single-headed HHs
Overall, a minimum of 1300 unique beneficiaries will be reached by the SEGI project during 12 months of its implementation.
The SEGI project will mainly be implemented in Batumi, however, certain activities will also be implemented in Tbilisi Kutaisi and surrounding areas.
