Livelihood Development Center

ASB Georgia, cooperation with Charity Humanitarian Center "Abkhazeti" has opened the Livelihood development center for IDPs and the local community in Samegrelo region, Georgia.  The main aim of the center is to increase access to the livelihood resources and to support persons in need with different kinds of consultancy or other services including but not limited to:

  • Provide the information with the available resources in the region 
  • Employment 
  • Self-employment 
  • Microentrepreneurship 
  • Vocational training
  • Training courses
  • Internships
  • Grants and loans 

The beneficiaries will also be able to attend the professional consultancy meetings and learn about the relevant business decisions, create a decent resume, cover letter, and proposals.

During the open ceremony, guests attended a small presentation about the LDC and the project in general. The ceremony was attended by the IDP related community organization, local and international NGOs, representatives from the local and the central government, as well as implementing organizations. 

It is also planned to develop an online platform for the available livelihood resources and information about the opportunities in the region. 

The project "Economic Development of IDPs and Host Community in Georgia" is funded by the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration of United States of America and it is implemented by the ASB Georgia with partner organization CHCA.
