Psycho-social support for children from Nagorno-Karabakh

'Painting is therapy for me,' says Sonia, a 14-year-old girl from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), who participates in an art therapy class in Stepanavan. A town in the mountainous region of Armenia near the Georgian border has become a gathering place for the children from Nagorno-Karabakh. In these group sessions, children find a welcoming and safe environment, where they can engage in activities like painting. This creative outlet not only fosters self-expression but also helps them process their feelings and emotions through art.
                        
               
Since 2023, ASB, in collaboration with its partner organizations, has launched the project “Cash Transfer and Psychosocial Support to the Most Vulnerable People Who Fled Nagorno-Karabakh.”  The project is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO).
