Certificate Handover Ceremony for Georgian EMTs

Georgia is the first in region to establish emergency medical team, known as the Emergency Medical Team Fixed Type 1. As part of ASB Georgia's project "Stronger Together - Cooperative Action to Respond to Cross-Border Emergencies", the staff of the Emergency Situation Coordination and Urgent Assistance Center underwent 120 hours of training within the framework of the World Health Organization's global classification process. Throughout the training program, team members gained essential knowledge and skills related to various areas: humanitarian aid, civil defense, mechanisms of emergency medical team operations, international best practices, as well as logistical, medical, and psychological aspects essential for effective team management and functioning.

The project is funded by the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO).
