A 120-hour training program for roster members of the Georgian (EMT) concluded with a field simulation exercise

A 120-hour training program for roster members of the Georgian National Emergency Medical Team (EMT) concluded with a field simulation exercise, implemented with the financial support of the World Health Organization (WHO).
         
The simulation took place at the Tbilisi Sea area, where a field hospital with all essential equipment provided through ASB’s ongoing project “Stronger Together – Cooperation in Emergency Situations between Georgia and Armenia”. During the exercise, EMT members also tested the Sky Hydrant water filtration system, which provides safe drinking water during emergencies.
           
The field simulation exercise was conducted in collaboration with the Emergency Situations Coordination and Emergency Assistance Center and ASB Georgia. It aimed to realistically simulate scenario-based EMT Type 1 (fixed) operations during emergencies. The exercise enhanced EMT members’ competencies in humanitarian assistance, civil protection, and medical, logistical, and psychosocial support - skills essential for effective deployment both nationally and internationally.
