ASB representatives meeting in Armenia

ASB representatives recently held a productive meeting with the Head of the International Relations Department at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia. The discussions focused on the formal establishment of the Armenian Emergency Medical Team (EMT) and reviewing the legal framework.

The meeting also assessed the EMT’s current capabilities and readiness, including available equipment, national and international deployment pathways, and training plans for both core and roster members. The parties agreed on concrete next steps in preparation for the upcoming full-scale exercise, a cross-border workshop, and the WHO pre-verification visit.
These developments mark significant progress in the DG ECHO-funded project, “Stronger Together – Cooperative Action to Respond to Cross-Border Emergencies between Georgia and Armenia.” The initiative aims to strengthen preparedness, interoperability, and rapid response in the region.
ASB thanks the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia for their constructive partnership and expresses gratitude to DG ECHO for their continued support as the project moves forward to its next milestones.
